Stargirl Series Coming to DC Universe

Here we have some more news coming out of San-Diego Comic-Con. From the Geoff Johns panel we’ve learned that Stargirl will have a live-action series on the app. To quote some information from The Hollywood Reporter. “Geoff Johns, who revealed the news during his spotlight panel, will write and exec produce the 13-episode scripted original series via his Mad Ghost Productions banner. CW Batwoman TV Show in Development

Deadline has reported that a new TV show based on the Arrowverse is in development based on Kate Kane aka Batwoman. Seeing as the character is already set to appear in the annual Arrowverse crossover, which will premiere this December it is not a surprise to see the character receive a potential spin-off series. Doom Patrol TV Series Announced For DC Universe Streaming Service

DC Entertainment has recently announced that a new Doom Patrol TV series will be joining the lineup for their DC Universe streaming service. The series will be produced by Berlanti Productions with the help of Warner Bros. Television. The first season of the series is currently set to 13 episodes and is said to start production later this year with the series releasing on the service in 2019.  Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, Jeremy Carver, and Sarah Schechter will serve as executive producers on the project. Casting News: Odette Annable Cast As Reign for Supergirl

Coming at you with some casting news, we’ve learned that Odette Annable has been cast as Reign for Supergirl season three.  To quote the press release from DC Comics. Reign comes straight from Supergirl’s acclaimed New 52 series, and in fact was one of the first baddies she faced in the relaunch. DC Entertainment has recently revealed the first look of CW’s Black Lightning.  The character will be portrayed by Cress Williams. The series is still currently early in production so premiere details are not confirmed at this time.
