Fathom Events has updated with the theatrical release details for Christopher Reeve’s Superman: The Movie and Batman Mask of the Phantasm. For those who are not aware, Fathom Events will be bringing both films back to the silver screen as a part of their anniversaries.
This special presentation of Superman: The Movie will help celebrate the 40th anniversary for the film and the 80th anniversary of Superman as a whole. The special screening of Batman Mask of the Phantasm will help commemorate the 25th anniversary of the film.

Superman: The Movie
From the doomed planet of Krypton, two parents launch a spaceship carrying their infant son to earth. Here he grows up to become Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for the Metropolis Daily Planet. But with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, he battles for truth and justice as Superman.
Don’t miss this special 40th Anniversary event that includes the 1941 Max Fleischer Superman animated short “THE MECHANICAL MONSTERS”!
Batman Mask of the Phantasm
In this stylish animated film, Batman battles a dangerous new foe who is trying to frame the Dark Knight for the murder of a crime lord–and who is mysteriously linked to Bruce Wayne’s former girlfriend. The event includes a Looney Tunes short, Rabbit Rider!
Superman: The Movie premiered in 1978 and starred Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel. The film will be presented in 500 theaters within the US on Sunday, November 25 at 2 P.M. and 7 P.M. local time. The film will also be presented on Tuesday, November 27 and on December 3.
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, was originally released in 1993 and starred Kevin Conroy as the voice of Bruce Wayne/ Batman and is set within the DC Animated Universe. Unlike Superman: The Movie, the film will have an one night event on Monday, November 12 at 2 P.M. and 7 P.M. local time.
