Uchu Sentai Kyuranger June Scans *Spoilers*

Earlier today, the new scans for the June issue of Televikun Magazine were released online. The scans feature events for the upcoming episodes of Kyuranger, Ex-Aid, and Ultraman Geed! In addition, the scans also feature teasers to the upcoming summer movies. First off, in this post we will be presenting the Uchu Sentai Kyuranger portion. The majority of these scans explain Lucky’s new forms of Sun & Moon, the battle with Scorpio, a Gavan vs. Dekaranger crossover, and the movie!

Please keep in mind that scans do count as spoilers, so one should continuing reading this article at his/her own discretion

Lucky’s “SO LUCKY!” as he obtains a new power-up!

The Hikari (Light) Kyutama contains the powers of both the Sun, and the Moon. However, only one side can be activated at a time. When activating the Moon, Lucky becomes Shishi Red Moon, the Moody Star. One of its special abilities is that when activated alongside Garu (Ookami Blue), it will augment his powers due to his lupus genes. Then when activating the Sun, Lucky will become Taiyou Shishi Red, the Shining Star! The finishing move for the Hikari Kyutama is called the Taiyou Tsuki Finish, which will launch both a Sun and a Moon at the enemy.

In addition, we discover that the Chokokugu (Caelum) Kyutama is necessary to retrieve the Argo. In the meantime Scorpio reveals his monstrous face, and sets forth destroying Champ!?!

Gavan vs. Dekaranger Crossover!

To promote the upcoming movie, DekaRed and Gavan Type-G will appear in the series. However, some could say it is the other way around as the Kyurangers are from a parallel universe outside of the regular one protected by the previous 40 Sentai teams!

Never the less, Madako steals the Rashinban Kyutama from the Kyurangers, as Lucky and Naga pursue her, but fall into a black hole. The two soon find themselves in a parallel universe, the main universe. There they find DekaRed, and Gavan fighting together against the forces of evil. Lucky and Naga jump into the battle to assist the heroes. Eventually the other Kyurangers will appear to rescue their friends, and during the ongoing battle Ryu Voyager will fight alongside Dol Giran.

Uchu Sentai Kyuranger THE MOVIE!

The summer movie will be focusing on Xiao Longpao, and enemies he fought as a mere soldier. These enemies may be siblings too, or of the same race as their names are Khal Indabe (black), Ghess Indabe (red), and Ohmo Indabe (blue). To defeat this threat the Kyurangers will need to gather the Cerberus Stones to find Cerberus Voyager. Futhermore, the Kyurangers will discover that by using the Pump (Antlia) and Gyosha (Auriga) Kyutama together, it will turn Garu into a bike!?!

Then to wrap up the scans is a teaser for Houou Soldier!

MY COSMOS IS BURNING! For today, it was announced that a live-action adaptation for Saint Seiya has been green-lit. The Eiga.com reported that Toei Animation will be co-producing the film with the Chinese distribution company, A Really Good Film Company (ARGF). In addition, the director and producers for the film were revealed during the announcement. The Saint Seiya film will directed by Polish director, Tomasz Bagiński. Bagiński, best known for his Academy Award-nominated short animation, The Cathedral, and the Witcher series intros. Kozo Morishita has served as director, producer, and planner for most of the Saint Seiya animated series and feature films.

Saint Seiya is an original manga series written by Masami Kurumada published from 1986 to 1990. The manga series was quickly adapted into an anime series. Since its conception the series, has had three animated series, several anime films, various OVAs and spin-offs. Official Images: S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan God Goku

Last night, Premium Bandai updated its site with the listings for the May 19th pre-order items. Among the items listed is the previously teased S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan God Goku! Fans best know this form of Super Saiyan for its debut in the 2013 Dragon Ball Z film, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. The form was achieved through a ridiculous process where Shenron was summoned, and a wish was made to inform the Z-Fighters of the necessary ritual to obtain the form. The ritual in question, required five Saiyans to merge their energy into one singular host, which was obviously Goku for his rematch with Beerus. The form reappears again, through the re-telling of the film in Dragon Ball Super, as well as become alternative form/ability for Goku in video games.  However, since its debut the form was replaced for Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, otherwise known as Super Saiyan Blue.

Now, back to the figure at hand! S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan God Goku is retool/remold of the basic Goku figures as of late. The figures paint apps are at best attempting to recreate the appearance from Battle of Gods. In addition, the figure itself will feature three optional facial expressions, and four pairs of alternative hands. Furthermore, the Tamashii Effect Energy Aura Yellow shown in the gallery is not included with this figure. One will have to purchase that Tamashii Effect separately, but not to worry it is basic retail product.

As stated before orders for S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Goku will open tomorrow, May 19 at 16:00 JST. Orders for the item will then ship this October. Premium Bandai is selling the item for 5616 yen, with international buyers needing to go through other providers. However, for North America they will most likely be able to purchase this item through Bluefin Tamashii.

Review: S.H.Figuarts Ultraseven (ウルトラセブン)

Today, I am proud to present and review S.H.Figuarts Ultraseven! Ultraseven, as the character is one of the most popular Ultras to exist and is one of my personal favorites. Now, as a S.H.Figuarts it is incredible! The figure seemingly is based on its Showa representation, especially due to the design, and colors used for the body as well as effect parts. It comes equipped with a removable Slugger, as well as an additional one that is slightly modified. The figure has four pairs of additional hands, and an additional pose set to display the Emerium Ray. The other effect piece is for Seven’s more traditional Ultra blast known as the WIDE SHOT! Anyways, watch the video for my in-depth look at the figure, and my thoughts on this release!

Review: Super Mini-Pla Shinka Gattai Daizyujin

“We Need Dinozord Power Now!” Because today I look at Super Mini-Pla Shinka Gattai Daizyujin, better known as the MEGAZORD! Now, the Super Mini-Pla is actually SUPER due to the fact its a normal kit thrown into Mini-Pla boxes. That means one must assemble it with modeling tools at best, unlike the basic Mini-Pla one may be use to. Once assembling the Guardian Beasts, or Dinozords one will discover they are almost like the DX ones, but with some more points of articulation. The tyrannosaurus is the best example of the added articulation. Combining them into the Dino Tanker and transforming it into Daizyujin is simple! The end result is best to be seen for one’s self, so watch the video…

Review: Mini-Pla Kyutama Gattai Series 01 Kyurenoh Set

Finally got in Mini-Pla Kyutama Gattai Series 01 Kyurenoh, and I managed paint it all by the time set arrived. What is perfect about this release, and others in the Mini-Pla line is that now they are sold in complete sets. Having this complete set makes it easier to buy, and leaves one with having to deal with extra parts. Now, one does not need to paint, but it is fun to and help alter some of the dull colors from the original plastic. Then as for the actual product, it features all five the Voyagers needed to make Kyurenoh’s initial formation. Each come with a Kyutama that uses stickers to represent the Kyurangers piloting their mecha. In addition, when they are combined the Kyutama Gattai Kyurenoh features several points of articulation. Unlike like last year’s mess with the Zyuoh Cubes (which I did enjoy) the Voyagers are not hinder greatly by design or kibble… Anyways, now I have to go work on painting and building Series 02 which features the other four Kyurangers and their Voyagers!

Review: NECA Godzilla 2001 – Giant Monsters All-Out Attack

Now, I did not expect to ever find this figure in-store! The NECA Godzilla 2001 figure is roughly a half year to year old at this time, but still a wonderful figure. NECA manages to capture the SokogekiGoji suit as best as they can, but there are some flaws whether it be sculpt, paint, or articulation. Another issue with the figure is the quality control of the joints which can be observed in the video. Never the less having any figure of the SokogekiGoji is good in general.
