Earlier this morning, Nintendo held a Pokémon Presents presentation, which focused on several existing titles and more.
First, the presentation revealed that Alolan Pokémon will be added to Pokémon GO starting on March 1. Before their inclusion there is currently an event where players will be able to encounter more Alolan Exeggutors. Continuing on with the App updates, Pokémon EX Masters will be celebrating their 2.5 year anniversary. During the event there will be a new Victory Road feature where players will be able to meet with several gym leaders and elite four members. Additionally, players will be able to team up with Sygna Suit Red, Blue, and Leaf. Players who complete the event will also receive 5000 Gems. It has also been confirmed that May (Anniversary 2022) & Latias, Skyla (Anniversary 2022) & Tornadus, Raihan (Anniversary 2022) & Flygon will be joining the game’s roster. Players will also be able to scout 100 sync pairs at no extra cost and those who login during the event can receive 3000 gems.
The next app update will be for Pokémon Café Remix. The game will receive a new Pelipper delivery feature where players can encounter new Pokémon. Players will also be able to unlock new outfits and “gimmicks.” It has also been announced that Vicitini is also being added via the delivery feature. The game will also be receiving new events starting with Bulbasaur’s Happy Pokémon Day. Starting today and ending on March 3, players will have a seven day login bonus. The first day bonus is a special crown outfit for Bulbasaur. The next event will feature a higher chance in encountering shiny Piplups at the café. Next, players will be given 11x express delivery items at no extra cost so that players can try out the new delivery system. Lastly, it has been revealed that more Pokémon will be coming to the café in June.
The last Pokémon app update will be for Pokémon Unite. New limited time battles will be added to the game. Players will be able to access “Full-Fury Battles.” Players will also be able to try out all the different playable Pokémon during this event. Hoopa will also be joining the roster as an unlockable fighters. Players will be able to try him out however, they will need to unlock him in order to keep him. Players will be able to receive new fashion items when they login. It has also been announced that Duraludon will be added to the game as a playable character in the future.
Next, we received new details about the console Pokémon games. The first update will be for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Starting today players will be able to receive Oak’s Letter via mystery gift, which will allow the player to encounter Shaymin. Pokémon Legends Arceus will also be receiving an update today called “Daybreak.” During this event players will need to discover why many new outbreaks of Pokémon are appearing throughout the Hisui region. New battles will also be added to the training grounds. The presentation also revealed a new mystery gift code. By entering “ARCEUSADVENTURE,” players will be able to receive a special Pokéball gift. Additionally, it has also been announced that an anime based on the Hisui region is in development and will be released later this year.
The last part of the presentation revealed a look at the next generation of Pokémon. The 9th region of Pokémon games will be known as Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. The presentation also revealed the three starters, however we currently do not have their names. The games are stated to release in late 2022.
