New Tiger & Bunny Anime Project Announced

The official Tiger & Bunny twitter page has updated with an announcement that a new anime project is in the works. For those who are unaware, Tiger & Bunny is an anime franchise created in 2011 by Sunrise.  The series was directed by Keiichi Sato with the help of Kenji Hamada, Masayuki Ozaki, and Seiji Takeda as producers. The anime series written by Masafumi Nishida.  The series was also adapted into a manga series illustrated by Sakakibara Mizuki and published by Kadokawa Shoten. Tiger & Bunny was also licensed in North America by Viz Media and was distributed by Kazé through Manga Entertainment in the United Kingdom.

Tiger & Bunny anime was set in “NC 1978” in a fictional version of New York City called Stern Bild City. 45 years in the past a group of super-powered individuals called “Next” (Noted Entities with eXtraordinary Talents) appeared. Some of these individuals became super heroes and worked for various sponsor companies, which include some real life companies.  The group’s talents became the focus of the popular TV show called “Hero TV” where they gain points for their accomplishments.  The best among them per season will become the “King of Heroes.”
