For those who aren’t aware the Marvel Cinematic Universe Francis “Frank” Castle Sr. made his debut in the second season of Daredevil. He is portrayed by Jon Bernthal. Variety has reported that a new animated Deadpool series has been green-lit. The series will debut on FXX in 2018 and the first season will run for 10 episodes. Unlike most of the standard TV animated series by Marvel, the Deadpool animated series is targeted towards adults so expect more insane action. Donald Glover and Stephen Glover will be working as the showrunners / executive producers and writers for the series. Jeph Loeb from Marvel along with Jim Chory will be the executive producers on the project.
