Brian Stapf Joins DC Universe “Stargirl” Cast as Wildcat

TV Insider has reported that Brian Stapf will be joining the cast of the DC Universe Supergirl series as Ted Grant aka Wildcat. For those who are not aware, Ted Grant was another founder member of the Justice Society of America. Wildcat first debuted in the comics in Sensation Comics #1, which was released in January 1942. The original Wildcat was created by Bill Finger & Irwin Hasen. Ted Grant previously made an appearance on Arrow played by J.R. Ramirez who was the mentor to Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy). Lou Ferrigno Jr. Joins DC Universe Stargirl Cast as Hourman

TVline has reported that Lou Ferrigno Jr. will be playing Rex Tyler aka Hourman in the upcoming DC Universe Stargirl series. For those who are not aware, Rex Tyler was one of the founding members of the Justice Society of America. Rex Tyler made his debut appearance in Adventure Comics #48, which was released in March 1940. The original Hourman was created by Ken Fitch and Bernard Baily. Variety has reported that Joel McHale will be joining the cast of the upcoming DC Universe exclusive Stargirl series as Sylvester Pemberton, who is also known as Starman. The character is stated to be depicted as the “Golden Age Starman” and he will have a reoccurring role in the series.   For those who are not aware, Sylvester Pemberton made his debut appearance in Action Comics #40, which was released in September 1941. International Based ‘Ultraman’ Reboot in the Works

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that an Ultraman “reboot” is in the works for the international market. The project will be produced by Tsuburaya Productions and US based Starlight Runner Entertainment. Starlight Runner Entertainment will be working with The Licensing Group to release the series “across multiple platforms, with story-driven licensing and merchandising programs for the U.S. and international markets.” The project is stated to be produced as a series that will be released on a streaming platform.   For those who are not aware, Ultraman is a long running tokusatsu series that was created by Eiji Tsuburaya. Variety has reported that Robert Schwentke is in early talks to direct a G.I.Joe spin-off film based on the character Snake Eyes at Paramount. For those who are not aware Snake Eyes is one of the main characters featured within the G.I.Joe franchise. Deadline has reported that Marvel Studios is producing a live-action film based on the character Shang-Chi. For those who are not aware, the character is a Martial Artist of an Asian-American descent.
