Attack on Titan 2 Video Game Release Date Announced

Recently a live stream for Koei Tecmo Game’s  Attack on Titan 2 video game was held that revealed some new details about the upcoming game.  First it revealed the full release date for the game, which will be on March 15, 2018 in Japan.

Next a video was posted to the official Famitsu Youtube channel that features roughly 20 minutes of game play and reveals some new characters for the game.  The video also features Hirashi Koinuma (Game Producer), director Hideo Sukuki (Director), Shiori Mikami (Christa Lenz), and Saki Fujita (Ymir).

The new playable characters include:

  • Annie Leonhart
  • Reiner Braun
  • Bertholdt Hoover

Attack on Titan 2 will be released in three versions.  Both the standard and digital editions of the game will be priced at 7,800 Yen, which will be available for the Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.  The PSVita release of the game will be priced at 6,800 Yen.  The Deluxe Edition will only be available digitally and will be priced at 12,800 Yen for the Playstation 4 & Nintendo Switch and 11,800 Yen for the PSVita.  The Deluxe Edition will include 20 additional costumes.

The last version of the game is the Treasure Box Limited Edition.  The Treasure Box Limited Edition will be priced at 14,800 Yen for the Playstation 4 & Nintendo Switch and 13,800 Yen for PSVita.

The Treasure Box Limited Edition will include:

  • Soundtrack
  • Eight character pins
  • Two A4-Sized Posters

Players who pre-order the digital edition of the game will be able to unlock the informal costumes for Christa and Ymir early.

Koei Tecmo Europe also posted a new story trailer for the game as well.

The official Attack on Titan 2 game website also updated earlier last week with additional characters for the game.

  • Hitch Dreyse
