Bluefin Brands to Release DX Kamen Rider Items in the West

Bluefin Brands has announced that they will soon be releasing DX Kamen Rider products directly to the western market. Currently, their team has announced that they will be releasing the upcoming Complete Selection Modification Kamen Rider W Double Driver (ver. 1.5). Also, in the announcement video they mention the release of the Kamen Rider W DX Lost Driver, which is the Rider Kicks 20th Anniversary edition. No other details have been confirmed at this time, however Bluefin will be displaying the belts at Anime NYC 2019. Anime NYC 2019 will be held at the Javits Center on Friday, November 15 – Sunday, November 17.

Personally I find this to be a very interesting situation since for the longest time it seemed that Bandai Japan wasn’t too much of a fan of the Western market at least it terms of Kamen Rider. While Bluefin Brands has released several S.H.Figuarts releases based on the Kamen Rider brand in the past, there wasn’t exactly a good way to obtain DX items or CSM releases outside of Japan. Due to the details about the deal being scarce at this time it is too soon to say exactly how far this will go, however just the idea that the products might be released more directly to the Western market is very exciting so hopefully this will lead to some great things in the future.
