The official Star Wars website has updated with the announcement that Cassian Andor will be receiving a live-action series on the upcoming Disney streaming service. For those who are not aware, Cassian Andor was one of the key players in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The character was portrayed by Diego Luna, who will be reprising his role for the series. The series will focus on the adventures of the character before the events of the film.
Diego Luna had to this say about his return to the Star Wars universe.
“Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me,” said Luna. “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”
Due to the series being in early production, no other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
