The official Vanity Fair magazine website has updated with the reveal of four new magazine covers that feature Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. The covers feature several of the new outfits for the returning cast including a first full look at Rose, played by Kelly Marie Tran. Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will premiere in theaters on December, 15, 2017.
Personally I think that Vanity did a great tribute to Carrie Fisher and I hope she has a great final role in the upcoming film.
The official Star Wars website has updated with the reveal that Marvel will be releasing a new Star Wars comic miniseries this August. The five issue miniseries titled “, Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic — Mace Windu,” will star the Jedi hero, Mace Windu. The series will take place after the start of the Clone Wars. The story will be written by Matt Owens and illustrated by Denys Cowan.
Marvel provided a short synopsis for the miniseries.
For over a thousand generations, the Jedi have been the peacekeepers of the galaxy…but now, at the dawn of the Clone Wars, they find themselves in a new role: generals in the Army of the Republic. As Mace Windu, one of the Jedi’s greatest warriors, leads a small unit of Jedi into battle shortly after the war begins, the Jedi must make peace with their new role, or be lost to the violence around them!
Hello Hero Club, this is Darkon633 and I am back with another toy review. Today we will be looking at Galen Erso in the basic 3.75 Inch line for Rogue One. I personally thought it was quite surprising to see Galen Erso as a part of the basic 3.75 Inch toyline. While he isn’t an obscure character that would warrant a more surprising release in my opinion it is more towards the fact they Hasbro managed to release him before the line ended. That being said the figure is a decent representation of the character from the film. Galen Erso didn’t have many scenes in the overall film, however it is really nice to see a figure of him due to how important he is to the Star Wars lore. Personally I am quite pleased with the final result especially since he includes a very nice release of a mouse droid that works well in scale for the 3.75 inch figures (whether it is a reissue of the older release, I digress). In conclusion I highly recommend getting this figure since he may be one of the most important characters in the entirety of the franchise. I got this from Entertainment Earth.
As theStar Wars Day festivities continue, fans of the 3.75 Inch Vintage Collection will be in for a treat in 2018 as the winner of the fan vote was none other than Doctor Aphra.
For those who are aren’t familiar with the character, Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra is a new character that was introduced in the modern Marvel’s Star Wars comics. She made her debut in Marvel’s Darth Vader comic series in 2016 and quickly became a fan favorite character in the new expanded universe.
Seeing as I just recently finished the main Vader story about a month or so ago I am quite excited to see a release of Doctor Aphra in the Vintage Collection. Hopefully she will also be released in the 6 Inch Black Series as well.
Hello Hero Club this is Darkon633 and I am back with another toy review. Today we will be looking at the Gamestop exclusive Star Wars 40th Anniversary 6 Inch Black Series R5-D4. It is stunning how many of the exclusive Star Wars figures (outside of the Target releases) are pretty much a luck of the draw. At first I thought that this release wouldn’t be as hard as it was since it stayed in stock on Gamestop’s website for preorder for a decent amount of time. It is a shame how this was handled since the 6 Inch Black Series 40th Anniversary R5-D4 is quite an amazing figure. Being an astromech droid there isn’t a whole look of bells of whistles, however what makes the figure shine is really in it’s paint scheme. Overall I personally think that this figure is a much better release than R2-D2, which helps since it is about $2 more with no accessories. In conclusion if you are fan of Astromech Droids than I highly recommend tracking one down if possible. I got this figure from my local Gamestop.
Yesterday, Hero Club converged on Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Station for Tamashii Nations 10th Anniversary World Tour: New York City! For those who may be unaware of the event, it is a two-day event showcasing upcoming products from Bandai’s sub-division Tamashii Nations. Tamashii Nations is known for its work with anime/manga and tokusatsu properties to create high-end collectible figurines, and accessories. In addition, Tamashii Nations has expanded its lines to include living individuals such as Michael Jackson, Bruce Lee, and WWE Superstars as well as characters from DC, Marvel, and Star Wars.
The event is elaborately set-up to be like Japan’s own Tamashii Features events, or its Akiba Showroom. Dragon Ball is the focus point of the exhibit, as a balloon display for Shenron and the Dragon Balls hang over head. Furthermore, there is a large statue of S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Goku Awakening Edition on display, and an area for attendees to get pictures taken of them riding the Nimbus Cloud. There are at least eight to ten displays for Dragon Ball, consisting of S.H.Figuarts, S.H.Figuarts ZERO, Tamashii Buddies, and Absolute Chogokin figures. For the regular S.H.Figuarts a majority of them are separated into their individual series, and arcs. The new reveals are S.H.Figuarts for Kid Goku, Korin, Gotenks, Majin Vegeta, and Super Saiyan God Goku. Furthermore, almost every existing figure is on display with exclusion of Broly, and previously teased Champaand Vados. One of the best displays for the Dragon Ball S.H.Figuarts is the circular which attempts to show the evolution of the series as a whole.
Yet, among the area set-up for Dragon Ball there are a few displays set-up to feature the event exclusive items one can purchase. Now, these items are limited to two per customer and have a limit on how much can be sold per day. The stock is incredible low too, so items tend to sell out within less than the first 90-minutes. The Saint Seiya Myth Appendix Gold Clothset is out favorite display piece due to the fact it is paired with the Saint Myth Cloth Goddess Athena – Original Color Edition. Whereas, the other exclusives including S.H.Figuarts Kaio-Ken Goku are just shoved into one display case. The only things any of our staff managed to obtain was the limited-edition World Tour Tamashii Stages, and single Saint Myth Cloth Aries Cloth. Luckily, Bluefin Tamashii has a booth set-up with current items, as well as pre-sale items to buy such as Soul of Chogokin Daizyujin as its Power Rangers’release, as well as the S.H.Figuarts for Street Fighter and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Near the sale booths is a display promoting Premium Bandai’s launch for its North American website, showcasing items like S.H.MonsterArts Mothra Special Color Edition, S.H.Figuarts x Ultra-Act Ultraman Limiter Release Ver., and various Robot Damashii Gundam figures.
Now, on one side of the hall is the anime and video game related section, and on the other is mostly live-action properties. However, somehow the S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla display managed to end up with anime stuff. In that section, there are two displays for the various Sailor Moon items, two displays for Naruto, and a Megamandisplay which is shared with Neon Genesis Evangelion. There is even displays for Kinnikuman and Street Fighter, but we unfortunately could not get close enough to snag photos of those displays at the time. In that section, the biggest standout was the preview for the Digivolving Spirits 01: WarGreymon; possibly a new line of Digivolution figures for Digimon. Furthermore, Tamashii Nations has a page on its website with a countdown clock that is winding down to the series’/ figure’ reveal in 26 days! We now, eagerly wait for further information on this item…
Then as for the opposite side of the hall, it features the live-action properties as mentioned it earlier. There one can find a Power Rangers display for the Tamashii Buddies and Soul of Chogokin Megazord. Two other cases then feature the S.H.Figuarts WWE series, Marvel Cinematic Universe series, and various DC films (somehow we lost the pictures for the WWE & DC displays). The Meisho Movie/ Manga Realizationseries receives a lot of love at the event, as it seems to take up a solid third of this section. While we were examining the figures, we were often crowded by others just curious at this overly unique line of figures. Also on display is the upcoming releases for Chogokin R2-D2 and C-3P0. Among this area is another teaser/ prototype for Soul of Chogokin Gipsy Danger, along with promotional artwork for Pacific Rim: Uprising’sGipsy Avenger.
Now, after purchasing one’s items, and checking everything we really insist one should check out the “Try Me” booth. There anyone can get a feel for some S.H.Figuarts, and get to test out the Soul of Chogokin Megazord. Our staff really feel in love with that product, as it is a wonderful representation of the mecha. The last day for the World Tour is today, and we hope that those interesting in attending the event can get a chance to stop by. We also hope that this is not the last time New York is graced with an event like this from Tamashii Nations!

Hello Hero Club, this is Darkon633 and I am back with another toy review. Today we will be looking at the Droid Factory C1-10P “Chopper” figure that is exclusive to Disney Land Parks. C1-10P Chopper is a fantastic release in the Droid Factory line, which is a highly appreciated update to the character in 3.75 inch form. The Hasbro figure was an okay figure, however this release proves how some extra effort can go a long way. The articulation is impressive for a small astromech droid and I was quite impressed with the final product. If you are fan of astromech droids or Chopper than I highly recommend hunting one down.
