Cast of Big Hero 6 to Return for Disney XD Animated Series

Entertainment Weekly has recently confirmed that most of the cast from the Big Hero 6 film will be returning to reprise their roles for the upcoming animated series on Disney XD starting next year. Mark McCorckle and Bob Schooley, known as the creators of the 2002 hit series, Kim Possible will be working as executive producers for the project along with Nick Filippi.

The series picks up right after the events of the movie and will follow the adventures of Hiro, Baymax, and their team as they protect their city from scientifically enhanced villains. Hiro also faces new challenges after becoming the latest prodigy at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.

The cast includes:

  • Scott Asdit – Baymax
  • Ryan Potter – Hiro
  • Maya Rudolph – Aunt Cass
  • Alan Tudyk – Alistair Krei
  • Jamie Chung – Go Go
  • Genesis Rodriguez – Honey Lemon
  • David Shaughnessy – Hearthcliff
  • Stan Lee – Fred’s Dad
  • Brooks Wheelan  – Fred (Originally T.J. Miller)
  • Khary Payton – Wasabi (Originally Damon Wayans Jr.) 

The series will also introduce new characters, which include guest stars such as;  Andrew Scott, Andy Richter, Diedrich Bader, John Ross Bowie, Sean Giambrone, and Jenifer Lewis.  Currently their roles have not been confirmed at this time.
