Chrono Clash System Announces Godzilla Card Game

Yesterday, the trading card company known as Chrono Clash System announced they will be releasing to North America an all-new series, the Godzilla Card Game. Anime fans may easily recognize Chrono Clash System, as they are the company that distributes and releases the Naruto/ Boruto trading card game.

Now, the preview artwork and teaser trailer reveals that several of Toho’s iconic kaiju will be featured in this brand new trading card game alongside the King of the Monsters. In addition, the monsters themselves do not consist of just their appearances in the Godzilla franchise, but also their standalone films such the original Rodan and Grand King Ghidorah (Rebirth of Mothra III). Since these variations will included fans can expect other kaiju and vehicles appearing like Toho’s Frankenstein, as well as the Gargantuas’ Sanda and Gaira. Furthermore, the card art seems similar to the previously released Battle Spirits Godzilla expansions, but may actually consist of new original artwork. Below is the trailer for the upcoming release:

Chrono Clash System expects to release the Godzilla Card Game in September 2019, starting with the GZ-01 set.
