D23 2019: Disney+ Star Wars Series Details Revealed

The official Star Wars website has updated with details about the upcoming productions that will be released on Disney+. Outside of the previously revealed trailer for The Mandalorian Lucasfilm revealed several new details about some of what there is to expect for the platform.

First, Lucasfilm revealed that Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be making its’ return in February 2020 on Disney+. While it is sad to see that the series will not launch alongside the service it is nice to hear about the timeframe in when the series will be making its return.

Lastly, Lucasfilm official revealed that the long time rumored series based on Obi-Wan Kenobi is in development. The series will feature Ewan McGregor who will be reprising his role as the character and the series will take place eight years after the ending events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Outside of the official announcement no other details have been confirmed at this time.

The Disney+ streaming service will launch on November 12.
