Several news outlets have reported that the live-action film adaptation for the Detective Pikachu spin-off video game is moving to Warner Brothers for distribution outside of Japan and China. Toho will continue to distribute the film in Japan. For those who aren’t aware the film for was initially set to be distributed by Universal, however this isn’t much of a surprise since details on the project have been scarce outside of some casting announcements.
