Iko Uwais in Talks to Join ‘Snake Eyes’ Film Cast

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Iko Uwais is in talks to the upcoming G.I. Joe spinoff film, “Snake Eyes.” If chosen, Iko is set to portray Hard Master, who is Snake Eye’s teacher. The character has appeared in various Gi-Joe media such as the original comic series and in several animated series based on the brand. Hard Master also appeared in the 2009 live-action adaptation for the franchise titled, Gi-Joe: Rise of Cobra, and was portrayed by Gerald Okamura.

The script will be written by Evan Spiliotopoulos and will be directed by Robert Schwentke. Brian Goldner and Lorenzo di Bonaventura are set to produce the project. He will be joining alongside the previously announced cast members, which includes Henry Golding (Snake Eyes) and Andrew Koji (Storm Shadow).
