The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Jamie Foxx is in final talks to reprise his role as Maxwell “Max” Dillon aka Electro in the third MCU Spider-Man film. For those who are not aware, the actor played the character in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which starred Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker in 2014. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the main supporting cast such as Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon and Tony Revolori are expected to return to reprise their roles as well. Additionally, The Hollywood Reporter has reported that filming for the film will begin in Atlanta this Fall. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal will also be returning as producer for the film. This news should be pretty exciting to hear as J.K. Simmons reprised his role as J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: Far From Home, leading to a deeper connection between the Sony Spider-Man film universes outside of plot elements. No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
