Deadline has reported that the upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe film is set to premiere in theaters on March 5, 2021. As reported in 2017 the film was initially slated for a December 18, 2019 release date, however expectantly the film has been delayed. Also reported earlier it was revealed that Noah Centineo would be portraying He-Man in the film, which has since been confirmed.
Art Marcum and Matt Holloway will work as the screenplay writers on the project. Adam and Aaron Nee will be directed the film at Sony Pictures. Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch will be the producers on the project. The original screenplay draft was originally written by David S. Goyer, who will be working as executive producer.
