Variety has reported that Matt Smith is joining the cast of Star Wars: Episode IX. Currently his role is under wraps, but it is great to see his inclusion in the cast. Matt Smith is most famous for his role as the 11th Doctor in Doctor Who and also as a physical embodiment of Skynet in Terminator Genisys. He will be joining alongside Dominic Monaghan as some of the newest members of the cast that will be featured in the final episode of the new Star Wars trilogy.
No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
Star Wars Episode IX is set to premiere on December 20, 2019.
