Earlier today, Netflix announced the release date for Pacific Rim: The Black. For those who are not aware, the series is an upcoming anime series that will be set in the universe of Pacific Rim and its’ sequel, Pacific Rim: Uprising. The series is produced and distributed by Legendary Television Pictures and Polygon Pictures. The series will focus on two siblings named Hayley and Taylor, who will learn to pilot an abandoned Jaegar located in post-apocalyptic Australia. The duo will be fighting kaiju as they search for their long lost parents. The series was first announced to be released in 2020, however it was delayed. The first season of the anime will now be released exclusively on Netflix on March 4, 2021.
