The official NTV’s Twitter for their Kinyō Road Show! (Friday Road Show!) timeslot revealed today, that a new Lupin III film is coming in winter 2019. This announcement came following the Kinyō Road Show! timeslot airing the 2016 Lupin III: Italian Game special. In addition, Lupin III: Goodbye Partner, the 26th anime special, will premiere on NTV next Friday, January 25 at 9:00 p.m. JST. The announcement for this special came in late December 2018, and it will be the first “completely original” special in nearly six years. Lupin III: Goodbye Partner will feature Lupin wearing a black jacket, and the theme of “Jigen’s betrayal.” The story focuses on Jigen coming for Lupin’s life, and Goemon being unable to forgive Jigen’s betrayal, which it will lead to a showdown between all three friends.
