Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Premiere Date Changed

The official Star Wars twitter page updated earlier today with an announcement that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series premiere will be moved to Friday, May 27 instead of the intended Wednesday, May 25 premiere date. Additionally, it has been confirmed that two episodes of the series will premiere on Disney+ with the series now fully moving to Fridays instead of the usual Wednesday premieres. The premiere date change is most likely due to the series now falling closer to Star Wars Celebration 2022, which will be held the same weekend.

This is a good move since the series will no longer conflict with Ms. Marvel, which was originally set as the same day that the Obi-Wan series would have their premieres. While it is a shame that we will be waiting a couple extra days for the series to premiere, it is great that they will be streaming two episodes instead of on to compensate for the date change. That being said I am still quite excited for the series and am excited to see Ewan Mcgregor back as Obi-Wan in the near future.
