Today, Bandai has confirmed a release date for Soul of Chogokin GX-97 Combat Giant Daileon. For those unaware, the figure is based on the main mecha used by the titular character of MegaBeast Investigator Juspion. The series is the fourth installment in Toei’s defunct Metal Hero Series franchise following the Space Sheriff trilogy. MegaBeast Investigator Juspion aired from March 15, 1985 to March 24, 1986, with the series spanning 46 episodes. The series received some international broadcasts like in Brazil, and eventually received a Blu-Ray release in North America.
Soul of Chogokin GX-97 Combat Giant Daileon will recreate the silver super-robot as a collectors’ piece for fans to own. The item will be able to transform from the Super Planetary Battleship to the Combat Giant. In addition, it will feature accessories like its signature weapon and Juspion’s Super Planet vehicles. Orders for this item are priced at 18,700 yen and their intended release date is scheduled for October 2021. Currently, it has not been confirmed if this item will be distributed in North America through Bluefin Brands or Premium Bandai USA.
