Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth to Release in the West

Recently it has been confirmed that the Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth video game will be released in the west. The game is set to release for the Nintendo 3DS in both the United States and Europe on June 4, 2019.

For those who aren’t aware, the game is a sequel to Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. The game was first released in Japan in November 2018. The game features the casts of Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 5, and the female  female protagonist of Persona 3 Portable.  The base game will retail for $39.99. Those who pre-order the physical copy of the game will receive the launch edition, which will include a set of four buttons featuring the main four protagonists in the game.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth features first person dungeon exploration and turn based battles. The game will mainly focus on the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5 as they try and escape “movie-themed dungeons.” As players progress throughout the game players will encounter the teams seen in Persona 3 and Persona 4. Eventually they will meet “a mysterious girl” named Hikari.

The game will also receive a Showtime Premium Edition, which will retail for $69.99.

The Showtime Premium Edition includes:

  • 5” Koromaru plush toy
  • Art book
  • Four buttons (one for each protagonist)
  • Playing cards featuring characters from each game
