The Hollywood Reporter has recently reported that Stephen Daldry is in early talks to direct a standalone Star Wars film featuring Obi-Wan Kenobi. Since the talks are in a very early stage of development no other details about the project are known at this time. If the plan follows through the film will be joining the set of standalone Star Wars projects such as Rogue One and the upcoming Han Solo films. Other projects including films based on Yoda and Boba Fett are also currently in consideration.
Rumors speculating that a film featuring Obi-Wan Kenobi have spread for some time so it it’s nice to see a potential confirmation about the project.
