Yesterday, it was announced that the next Sword Art Online anime adaptation, Sword Art Online: Alicization, was in production. This announcement came during the “Aki no Saiten” event held by Dengeki Bunko in Tokyo, Japan. In addition, to the reveal the first key visual and teaser was released. Furthermore, it is confirmed that main cast will return to reprise their roles for series, such as Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kirito, and Haruka Tomatsu as Asuna. However, joining the cast is Nobunaga Shimazaki as Eugeo, and Ai Kayano as Alice.
Alicization is the fourth arc in the Sword Art Online series written by Kawahara Reki. The series follows Kirigaya Kazuto (Kirito), who has received a job at a private enterprise, Rath, by Kikuoka Seijirou. The job is to test out a 4th generation experimental FullDive machine, known as the Soul Translator (STL).
