Today, we got the first official trailer for the next Monsterverse film, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The film is set to release next Spring on April 12, 2024, which continues Godzilla and Kong’s new partnership. Surprisingly, this trailer features many glimpses at Godzilla’s new form that is rumored to appear in the film. Today, Tamashii Nations US announced that Bandai Japan will be releasing S.H.MonsterArts Mechagodzilla from Godzilla vs. Kong later this year. Now, fans originally expected that this figure would be announced during the upcoming Tamashii Features 2021 event. However, Tamashii Nations’ American branch surprised everyone with this reveal two weeks ahead of schedule. Adam Wingard in Early Talks to Direct Next “MonsterVerse” Film

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Adam Wingard is in talks to return as the director for the next “MonsterVerse” film. In addition, the next project’s working title is “Son of Kong,” while negotiations for the Godzilla license occur. Thundercats Film Adaptation in the Works

Deadline has reported that Adam Wingard has been hired to direct a Thundercats film adaptation for Warner Bros. According to Deadline, the film was originally being developed by Rideback’s Dan Lin with the help of Vertigo’s Roy Lee. The new script for the film will be written by Wingard alongside Simon Barett. It has recently been revealed that the Netflix exclusive live-action Death Note film will be screened at San Diego Comic Con 2017.  The event will feature exclusive giveaways and pre-event Death Note themed activities. Adam Wingard, Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley, Keith Stanfield, and Masi Oka will be attending the event.
