Anime NYC: TMS Entertainment Announces Megalo Box Sequel

Today at Anime NYC, TMS Entertainment announced that they are currently developing a sequel to their anime series Megalo Box. For those unaware, Megalo Box is an original story and production that commemorates the 50th anniversary of Ikki Kajiwara (Asao Takamori) and Tetsuya Chiba’s manga, Ashita no Joe. The series features, a man called JD (Junk Dog) who participates in underground boxing matches. However, these matches require people use metal frames to enhance fights, and make them more lethal. Variety has reported that Alcon Television Group will be teaming up with Adult Swim and Crunchyroll to produce/ distribute an anime series that is inspired by “Blade Runner 2049.” The series will be titled, “Blade Runner- Black Lotus,” which is stated to consist of 13 half-hour episodes. Funimation Announces Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Season Two Home Video Release Details

Funimation Entertainment has recently revealed details for their home video release for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Season Two. The second season aired in Japan on October 2, 2016 to April 2, 2017, and ran for 25 episodes. Today, Production I.G. and Adult Swim revealed at Anime Expo information on the upcoming Fooly Cooly sequels, FLCL 2, and FLCL 3. The panel was hosted by Production I.G.’s Maki Terashima-Furuta, and Toonami’s Jason DeMarco. The two revealed that both, FLCL 2 and FLCL 3, will span six episodes per season, and set to air in 2018.
