The official Star Wars website has updated with an announcement that Taika Waititi will be directing and co-writing a theatrical Star Wars film. Additionally, Krysty Wilson-Cairns will be joining him on the project as a screenplay writer for the film as well. Last year it was reported that a Disney+ exclusive series based on Cassian Andor was announced with Diego Luna returning to reprise his role as the character.
