The official Star Wars Youtube channel has updated with the first teaser trailer for Andor that was shown at Star Wars Celebration 2022. For those who are not aware, “Andor” is a series that focuses on Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), who made his debut (and sad demise) in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The series was first announced in November 2018. While the trailer does not focus too much on Cassian Andor specifically, the trailer takes a look at the various locales that will be featured in the series. The first season of Andor will debut on Disney+ on August 31.
I personally loved Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and was sad that while Cassian Andor had a major role in the film, there was not enough time to explore his character. It is great to see more of him in action and it is also great not to see yet another “desert like” planet so far. That being said because this takes place before the events of the film it is a going to be interesting to see what direction this series will take especially since it will be the first live-action production that “at the moment” is not focusing on any force sensitive characters as a major role.
