Deathstroke’ Animated Series Announced for CW Seed

Deadline has reported that an animated series based on Deathstroke is currently in the works for CW Seed. The series was announced during a CW upfront presentation by CW Network president, Mark Pedowitz. Today, DC Entertainment released the first chapter of the prequel mini-series based on the upcoming animated series, Young Justice: Outsiders on the DC Universe streaming service. In addition, this release marks Young Justice: Outsiders as the first exclusive comic book on the service. The mini-series is set between the events of the series’ second season finale and premiere of the third season. Derek Mears to Portray DC Universe’s Swamp Thing

Several news outlets are reporting that Derek Mears is going to be portraying Swamp Thing in suit for the upcoming live-action series. For those who are not aware, Mears is most famous for starring as Jason Voorhees in the 2009 reboot of Friday the 13th. He has also portrayed the “classic” Predator in the 2010 Predators film and has previously worked in other live-action comic adaptions in the past.
