After months of speculations on who would portray Cable in Deadpool 2, today we discovered it would be Thanos himself, Josh Brolin. Now, along with the confirmation that Josh Brolin would portray Cable, it was announced he has signed a four-picture deal. The appearances would extend past Deadpool 2, as producer and writer, Simon Kinberg stated both characters are intended to be in the planned X-Force movie.
Brolin’s first Marvel related appearance was as Thanos, in Guardians of the Galaxy. Following the role in Guardians of the Galaxy, he reappeared in the mid-credit scene for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Then in 2018 he will finally take center stage as the villain of Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel.
