TIFFCOM 2016: Animated Klonoa Film Announced

Variety has recently reported that an animated Klonoa film is in the works.  It was originally announced at this year’s TIFFCOM, which is affiliated with the Tokyo International Film Festival. Henshin, an US based animated company, will be working on the film.  Rob Pereyda  will be working as the producer of the film and Hitoshi Ariga will serve as the script writer, co-producer, and character designer.

The first game in the series was called Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, which was created by Namco.   The game launched on the original Playstation in 1997.  Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is a side-scrolling platform game that features Klonoa going through different worlds solving puzzles.

No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
