TWK Reviews 104: Super Mario Bros NES

Hello Hero-Club, TDub here, and welcome to my review for what many consider the first true video game. Especially, when comes to the modern thought regarding the term video game(s). So, as stated in the title, I will be looking at Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Now, for those who were not alive back them, like myself, many are not aware how dire the industry was. Back in 1983, the video game market went through an extremely hard crash. Like we are talking about Nikki Minaj crashing out over the Megan Thee Stallion levels bad. Additionally, when Nintendo released their debut console it was called a Family Computer in Japan, and an Entertainment System internationally. Furthermore, these name changes were because the industry was trying to distance itself from being labelled video games.

Thankfully, its debut game set the whole world into a proverbial fire, which was none other than Super Mario Bros. However, how well does it hold up after all these decades of gameplay and presentation innovation? So, that is why we are here today, and it is time to truly find out!
