Vanity Fair has recently released new official images of Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. The newly revealed images showcases a further insight to several of the characters that will be featured in the film including several returning veterans and some new faces. Some of the highlights includes a look at some of the new planets that will be in the final installment in the Skywalker story as well as taking a better look at the Knights of Ren. Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker will premiere in theaters on December 20, 2019.
I admit that these images have actually helped piqued my interest for the film since it seems there might be some pretty cool looking scenes in the film. That being said it is kind of annoying to see yet another desert like planet, although the trailer pretty much showed that was going to be the case. Looking at the Knights I am bit disappointed since they don’t look as awesome as I expected them to be. Hopefully they will look better when they add the CG effects on them, however it doesn’t really change that they look more like standard bounty hunters rather than the herald “Knights of Ren.”
