Green Lantern and Strange Adventures Coming to HBO Max

We have some news coming out of the HBO Max event that is currently going on. We’ve learned that HBO Max is moving forward with two DC Comic related properties. The first being Strange Adventures which has been described as the following.

Strange Adventures is described as a DC super hero anthology that will feature characters from across the DC canon. The one-hour drama will explore close-ended stories about the intersecting lives of ordinary humans and superhumans.

Adding onto that we’ve learned that a Green Lantern series is coming to the network as well. Right now we have no other information outside of that. At this time we don’t know if it’s going to be live-action or an animated series. I wouldn’t mind another go at a animated series but live-action is intriguing. Especially being on a network like HBO who would have the budget to do some high quality stuff for the space side of the DC Universe. Greg Berlanti is set to work on both series and has said the following.

“Both of these original DC properties we’ll be creating for HBO Max will be unlike anything seen on television,” said Berlanti. “An anthology series of cautionary tales set in a world where superpowers exist, and, in what promises to be our biggest DC show ever made, we will be going to space with a Green Lantern television series, but I can’t reveal any more about that just yet.”

I didn’t see the Green Lantern series coming at all. It should also be noted that Doom Patrol is set to air on not only the DC Universe app but HBO Max as well. Along with season one coming to the app prior to the launch of season two. This is a crazy situation to find ourselves in as fans. At least it’s not a Gen:Lock situation for Doom Patrol. For those out the loop their, the second season of that show is set to air on HBO Max before airing on Rooster Teeth. I wonder if the other DC Universe shows will come to HBO Max or will the HBO shows jump to the DC Universe app. The DC Universe app itself needs more content so I’m hoping HBO can provide.

Then again we’ve learned that Batwoman will be going to HBO Max once the first season has finished. Given the wording of the Tweet by HBO Max. It seems like the other CW shows current season will be on that app as well once they’re over for the season. I’ll post that down below so you can read.

Overall, I’m planning on dropping my HBO Go subscription and making the move to HBO Max. It’s going to come down the price point but with shows like these. They have my money, I can’t lie guys. Anyway, I’m Benodinson and I’m out!
