Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Announced

Nintendo recently released an announcement video for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. For those who are not aware, this is not the first Hyrule Warriors title as the first Hyrule Warriors was released for the Wii U in 2014. The game was later ported to the Nintendo 3DS in 2016 under the name Hyrule Warriors Legends. The game then received an updated version on the Nintendo Switch under the name Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition in 2018. Unlike the mainline Zelda titles, the Hyrule Warriors games featured the various Zelda characters fighting in a Musuo game style. While the first game featured a standalone story, the “sequel” will feature the untold story seen in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. The game will take place 100 years before the events of the game. Just like the first game, Nintendo will be teaming up with Koei Tecmo in the development of the game.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will be released for the Nintendo Switch on November 20, 2020. More details about the game will be shown on September 26.
