Jake Gyllenhaal in Talks to Play Mysterio For Spider-Man Homecoming Sequel

Happy Monday heroes! We have some news on the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel front. Reported by Variety, we’ve learned that actor Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play Mysterio. For those who don’t know, Mysterio aka Quentin Beck was an inspiring actor but wasn’t the best at it but soon he discovered his talent in special effects. Once he learned that he could make illusions, Quentin decided to become the villain Mysterio.  I have to say that I’m excited for Mysterio to make his on screen debut if this is the direction the Spider-Man Homecoming sequel will take when it comes out. I’ve always felt his effects would work so well on the big screen and the fact that were so close to make this a reality has me excited. It’s interesting that after so many Spider-Man movies, were finally getting Mysterio. With the way CGI and special effects are now, this couldn’t be a better time for a villain like Mysterio to make a debut on screen.

In other news,  Michael Keaton will be returning to play Vulture along with the Homecoming director Jon Watts. With this movie I feel were slowly building up to a Spider-Man versus the Sinister Six and hopefully we can get the Death of Spider-Man as the final story and passing the torch onto Miles Morales who is already in this universe. As always stick with Hero-Club for all the news you care about. I’m XBen3000 and I’m out!
