Several news outlets have reported that Paramount Pictures is producing a theatrical animated prequel film for the Transformers. The film will feature an origin story for the Transformers, which will take place on Cybertron. The film will be directed by Josh Cooley and will be developed by Paramount Animation with the help of Hasbro’s eOne. The script for the film will be written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. According to Deadline, the film is stated to be set in a different continuity from the live-action Transformers films. Additionally, Deadline has reported that Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian will be working as producers on the project. No other details are confirmed so stay tuned for updates.
