Mill Creek Entertainment Announces Ultraman TDG Series 25th Anniversary Sets

Today is July 10th, and that means it is none other than Ultraman Day yet again! Now, events to celebrate the franchise’s 55th anniversary are underway in both Japan and North America. On the American front we have the TokuShoutsu stream currently on-going, and later tonight is Tsuburaya Productions’ Ultraman Connection show. However, during the TokuShoutsu stream, Mill Creek Entertainment, the North American distributor, announced its final home video releases for 2021.

These release are none other than sets for the TDG series, which consists of Ultraman Tiga, Dyna and Gaia! So, this mean the entire Heisei trilogy is finally coming to North America but in DVD format. The reason behind these sets using DVD is due to the shows being filmed on video rather than film. The conversion to high definition and blu-ray could feature abnormalities with its presentation to television and streaming. However, other legal issues could be preventing the three shows’ distribution on blu-ray in North American. Nevertheless, below is solicitation from Mill Creek Entertainment which is provided by Scifi Japan:

ULTRAMAN DYNA and ULTRAMAN GAIA to follow later this year.

Special Thanks to J.W. Starrett and Kirsten Van Peursem
