MMPR/ TMNT Crossover Comic

We got some news on the comic front, as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are teaming up with the Power Rangers again. That is right, thanks to BOOM! Studios we have a new mini-series titled Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 (of 5). Current, MMPR writer Ryan Parrot is set to write this crossover whereas, Simone Di Meo is coming back on art duty. For those who do not know, Simone Di Meo was the artist doing the Beyond The Grid arc. Regardless of readers thoughts on that arc, Simone Di Meo did an amazing job on that series, and I could not be happier to see his return. Finally, Dan Mora will be doing the cover art for this series.

In addition, here is the official description of the upcoming mini-series.

“The Power Rangers arrive in New York City to find Tommy Oliver – AKA The Mighty Morphin Green Ranger – but soon discover he’s joined forces with the villainous Shredder and the Foot Clan! As the Rangers are sent reeling by this betrayal, they’re confronted by another (fr)enemy – the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Can these heroes find a way to work together to defeat the bad guys and save the world from total destruction?!”

The series is set to drop December 4th, so fans be sure to ask your local comic book shop to pre-order this when the time comes. Right now were unsure if the newest turtle Jennika is in it; we may just have to wait and see once the series comes out! Overall, this is going to be a blast, as the Turtles have recently crossover with Batman and that has been a success. It is going to be cool seeing them crossover with another super hero franchise, even if the pairing has previously occurred. Now, it would be crazy if we got another series in the future with the Turtles teaming up with the Space Rangers again, including Venus from “The Next Mutation.”
