Sony Pictures Entertainment has recently released a first trailer for Morbius. The latest trailer features a look at the setting of the film. Some of the highlights includes a preview of Michael Morbius (Jared Leto)’s transformation and showcasing some potential references to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Morbius will premiere in theaters on July 31.
One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.
Ever since the project was announced I was personally skeptical how the film was going to be like. I was the same with Venom, however after watching the film I was quite surprised so maybe the Morbius movie might bring out a similar reaction. After seeing this trailer I admit I am a bit intrigued even beyond the potential connections to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Another trailer might get me more interested in seeing the film.
