Within the past month rumors began to spread about on Bandai/ Tamashii Nations releasing a S.H.Figuarts based on Demon King Piccolo from Dragon Ball. Then as of today, the official confirmation appeared regarding the release! Tamashii Nations is releasing S.H.Figuarts Piccolo Daimao, but as a Premium Bandai exclusive in Japan. However, the item will most likely be distributed to North America as a regular retail figure. Fans of the series, fondly remember Piccolo Daimao as the most iconic villain of the original Dragon Ball chapters before his demise and reincarnation as Piccolo Jr.
S.H.Figuarts Piccolo Daimao is another tall release in the S.H.Figuarts line, as the figure will be nearly 7.5 inches tall. In addition, the figure will feature various optional parts and accessories. King Piccolo will have three optional heads, one of which will recreate his “Birthing an Egg” ability, as figure comes with eggs. Other accessories will include the rice cooker that Roshi tried to use to seal away Piccolo again, and the One Star Dragon Ball. Pre-orders for S.H.Figuarts Piccolo Daimao will open on Friday, May 10th at 4:00 p.m. JST. Premium Bandai has the item priced at 7,920 yen before shipping and handling, with orders scheduled to ship in October. Fans can either contact middleman providers now, or wait for their local regional distributors like Bandai Namco Collectibles/ Bluefin Tamashii in North America.
