The official Star Wars website has updated with a reveal of some official images for the Star Wars Black Series Archive Collection. For those who are not aware, it has been five years since the launch of the Star Wars the Black Series 6 Inch toyline. The figures that will be released in the Star Wars Black Series Archive Collection will maintain the sculpt of the previous releases, however they will feature updated paint schemes including new details brought forth by the new Photo Real Technology.
The first wave of figures will include Boba Fett, Bossk, X-Wing Pilot Luke and IG-88. The second wave will include Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith), Yoda, and Biker Scout Trooper. Steve Evans, Star Wars brand design director at Hasbro, has stated that the Star Wars Black Series Archive Collection will be limited to a select number of figures and the first wave is set to release in Spring 2019.
