Hello Hero Club, this is Darkon633 and I am back with another toy review. Looking at Dreadwind I was already shocked that Hasbro would release updates for him and Blackwing (originally called Darkwing). Now, while both characters were released during the original Transformers Generation One toyline by Hasbro as standard Powermasters, both characters are more recognizable as the Darkwings from the Takara Masterforce series. In addition, they both appeared in the original Marvel comics.
Both Blackwing and Dreadwind are based on their Hasbro toy colors, so I am glad that both at least were updated for the modern line. The figure’s transformation is pretty close to Combiner Wars Air Raid. However, the newly retooled parts help the figure look different enough from the original mold. In conclusion if you are fan of both Dreadwind and Blackwing from either the Transformers Masterforce series, or the characters from the Marvel Comics then I highly recommend getting both figures.
