SDCC 2019: DC Universe/DC TV Recap

Alright let us make this recap quick and easy, as we are all tired as well as require sleep. Here is our fast rundown on the DC Universe and DC TV reveals/ announcements at San Diego Comic Con 2019!

  • Doom Patrol is confirmed for a season two. This season will air on the DC Universe app along with HBO Max. Doom Patrol is probably my favorite DC Universe show by far and to know it has a season two I could not be happier. It will air in 2020.
  • Harley Quinn’s animated series aired its pilot episode and people are saying it is great. It has the right mixture of humor and action.
  • Titans has a season two sizzle reel. The cast could not make it given the recent crew member death. Nevertheless, the Titans return September 6th on DCU app.
  • Young Justice is confirmed for a fourth season. It is currently in production.
  • We have the trailer for the upcoming season of The Flash season six. The main villain is Bloodwork aka Ramsey Rosso.

  • Arrow had its season 8 trailer premiere for the final season. Mostly old footage with some new scenes from the last season.

  • Up, up, and away! Supergirl is coming in strong with its fifth season. Also, it has been confirmed that Meaghan Rath has been cast as a female Brainiac-5 for this season. Jeremy Jordan is returning as Winn. However, we are losing Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen.

  • Bringing this to a close, we have the sizzle reel for Black Lightning season two. They’re currently filming season three at this moment. So we should get an official trailer sometime in September or August. I’m unsure how many episodes we have this season.
