Nintendo recently streamed a Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, which features a look at some of the upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch.
First, Nintendo revealed a first look at two brand new Monsters Hunter games. The first game will be the latest title in the mainline Monster Hunter series titled, “Monster Hunter Rise.” The second game is titled, “Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin,” which is the sequel to the 3DS Monster Hunter Stories spinoff title. Monster Hunter Rise will be released on March 26, 2021. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be released in Summer 2021.
Next, Nintendo revealed the sequel to Fitness Boxing titled, “Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm and Excercise.” The game will be released on December 4 and save data will carry over from the first game.
Third, Nintendo revealed “Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny.” As the name suggests, the game is the sixth title in the mainline Disgaea series. The game will be released in Summer 2021. Additionally, a game trial demo for Disgaea 5: Complete will be available for Nintendo Switch Online members starting on September 23 at 10 AM PDT and will end on September 29 at 11:59 PDT.
Fourth, Nintendo revealed a new trailer for Empire of Sin, which takes another look at the game’s setting.
Fifth, Nintendo revealed Sniper Elite 4 will be released for the Nintendo Switch this Holiday season.
Sixth, Nintendo did a rundown on several titles that will be released for the Nintendo Switch, which includes:
- The Long Dark – Available later today
- PGA Tour 2K21 – Physical version available on September 25
- Hades – Available later today
Seventh, Nintendo revealed a new trailer for Balan Wonderworld. For those who are not aware, Balan Wonderworld is a 3D action platformer developed by Square Enix. The two protagonists Leo and Emma are summoned by the mysterious maestro, Balan. They will be traveling through 12 different stages and use a variety of different transformations to help them go through obstacles. The game will also feature co-op play. Balan Wonderworld will be released on March 26, 2021
Eighth, Nintendo revealed a new trailer for Rune Factory 5. For those who aren’t familiar with the Rune Factory series is a RPG simulation game that is a spinoff of the Harvest Moon/Story of Season game series. Rune Factory 5 will be released in 2021.
The final reveal of the direct was that Ori and the Will of the Wisps will be released for the Nintendo Switch and will launch later today. A collectors edition of the game will also be available on 1AM8BIT’s website.
