Avatar: The Last Airbender Animated Movies Announced

This Wednesday we’ve learned that three animated movies set in the Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra are going to theaters. The films are being developed by Avatar Studios with Lauren Montgomery directing the first of them. It’s also been confirmed that Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino are producing them along with Eric Coleman who has worked on Avatar The Last Airbender. Over the weekend, the Irish Times published an article in regards to Hasbro’s future investments in a theatrical production studio dedicated to animation. Fans of Hasbro were quick to see to all the potential the upcoming studio would have to offer the company’s properties like Transformers, G.I. Joe, and the newly acquired Power Rangers.
