“Once, people staked their youth on the sea. On the seven seas, the flames of romanticism, ambition, adventure, and aspiration burned and clashed. Now, young people of the year AD 2200 challenge the sea of stars. What awaits them is a world beyond our imagination.” – Armored Fleet Dairugger XV “From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the universe, comes a legend, the legend of Voltron, Defender of the Universe. A mighty robot, loved by good, feared by evil.”   Ever since the 2016 release of Soul of Chogokin…

Review: S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (1964) Emergence Version

I finally managed to purchase the S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (1964): The Emergence of Godzilla Version, while I attended Power Morphicon 2018. Now, this the 2015 Premium Bandai repaint/ reissue of the 2013 release, S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (1964) as seen in Mothra vs. Godzilla. This repaint specifically depicts Godzilla’s first appearance in the film, erupting from the beach side area thus the name Emergence Ver. However, the dirt and sand stuck to the MosuGoji suit for most of the production. In addition, this repaint/ reissue includes a Tamashii Effect piece to recreate Godzilla’s…

Official Images: S.H.MonsterArts Mothra (Imago) & Mothra (Larva) Special Color Ver.

The final update from last night’s Premium Bandai update is for a S.H.MonsterArts set. This S.H.MonsterArts is the Special Color Version for Mothra in both of its forms, Larva and Imago. This set is an attempt to not just reissue the figures, but to better represent Mothra’s on-screen appearance in Godzilla vs Mothra; otherwise called in North America as Godzilla & Mothra: Battle for the Earth. Originally the two were sold separately, with Mothra (Imago) being the first released in the spring of 2014. Then as for Mothra (Larva) it was…

Review: S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla 2016 (Shin Godzilla)

The Monster of MonsterArts has finally arrived, SHMA Godzilla (2016)! Now, as seen in Hideaki Anno’s Shin Godzilla this incarnation is undoubtably the most gruesome looking one ever seen, as well as the largest to date. Along with being the biggest and the ugliest, it is also seemingly the strongest with a beam spamming body; too bad that version will most likely be a Web Shop Exclusive. The figure effectively captures the True King to its fullest form, with a few minor exceptions either due to selective paint applications and…

Review: S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Trunks – Cell Games Edition

The first Trunks to be released at retail in the S.H.Figuarts line! However unlike the previous releases that featured his iconic Capsule Corp Jacket, Sword, and Bowl Haircut this one is of his Cell Games design. The Cell Games design features Trunks in his Saiyan Armor, and long ponytailed hair styles. Now, I would argue that this design is also based on Ascended Super Saiyan Trunks due to slight bulkier body, just the Super Saiyan head would contradict this belief. Anyways, this SHF truly fits in alongside the original SHF…

Review: S.H.Figuarts Omegamon – Our War Game Edition

With the D-Arts line finally ending, the Digimon licensed products went back under S.H.Figuarts line and starting them off was Omegamon! However this specific Omegamon is based on its anime design, mostly the Adventure movie, Our War Game. The Our War Game edition is by far several fans favored design, due to it being the debut of Omegamon and a nostalgia trip in general. Please favorite, like, comment and subscribe to my channel! Review: S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta

S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta was released earlier this year around March to May, and was distributed within North America as a retail release via Bluefin Tamashii. Originally this figure was marketed under sub-line for Resurrection F, but was later changed to feature the more relevant Super logo. The overall figure is probably the best Vegeta that Tamashii Nations produced in the SHF series to date, but unlike the Super Saiyan Blue Goku which features a base state head this Vegeta does not making it rather difficult to…
