HBO Max “Black Canary” Film Greenlit

Variety has reported that a live-action film based on the DC Comics character Black Canary has been greenlit for HBO Max. The film will be written by Misha Green.  The film will also see the return of Sue Kroll under her production company, Kroll & Co. Entertainment.  Jurnee Smollet is set to reprise her role as Black Canary in the film, however no other cast members have been revealed. Emerald Fennell to Write “Zatanna” Film

Variety has reported that Warner Bros. is currently working on a live-action film adaptation of Zatanna. Emerald Fenell has been hired to write the film with Warner Bro.’ DC Films and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions producing. Zatanna was created by Gardner Fox and Murphy Anderson. The character made her debut in Hawkman #4, which was released in November, 1964. In the comics, Zatanna is a stage magician, but also has actual magical powers as well. The character previously had a debut live-action appearance on Smallville, portrayed by Serinda Swan.…

HBO Max has recently updated their official Youtube channel with a trailer for Zack Synder’s Justice League, which was first shown during DC Fandome. The trailer reveals several new scenes that was not featured in the original cut of the film. This past December 2018, we got word that Mattel would be losing the DC Comics license for the Boys Action category.
